In the hypothetical port of Barranca in South America, the American showgirl Bonnie Lee befriends two American pilots while waiting for the departure of her ship. They go to a bar and she meets their boss, Geoff Carter, who runs a small airline company. The company delivers mail and other cargo through the dangerous chain of mountains. Bonnie feels attracted to the cynical Geoff, and decides to stay. When the new hired pilot, Bat MacPherson, arrives with his wife, Judy, to replace an ill pilot, their pasts affect Geoff and the other pilots.

However, when she finds out that the dog and the dolphin can do “interspecies communication,” she is intrigued and curious. She meets Terry, the single father of Jordan, and they go out. In the end, it’s a race to save the dolphin and Zeus, who was kidnapped by Claude.

When Prince Judah Ben-Hur hears that his childhood friend Messala has been named to command the Roman garrison of Jerusalem, he is thrilled. Plucky and determined, Fievel sets out on a quest for buried treasure, located under old New York City, where he and his family happily reside (although his sometimes-cranky father is a workaholic). Underground, Fievel meets a clandestine civilization of Native American mice, with a sweet little gal reminiscent of Pocahontas to provide a little romance to boot. This may be a direct-to-video offering, but the quality is topnotch—animation is rich and lush, and the original tunes are fun and catchy. Moreover, the movie stresses such welcome notions as loyalty, family, affection, friendship, honesty, and honor. There’s even a modest but effectively put message about who really belongs in America. Dom DeLuise, Party of Five’s Lacey Chabert, and David Carradine lend their voices to the production.
